What is up, my friends!
This past week saw arguably the most hated ICO set records and sell out within minutes. As the official listing unfolded, further talking points have emerged. Meanwhile, BTC pumped to new ATH after ATH and things went bonkers, flipping the pumped fun.
With the summer fun kicked off, the Polkadot ecosystem is now dealing with the heat. Our Top Story picks up the momentum with fun PFP changes, pump-sweltering records, prep time to launch some parties, and more.
It’s also about time we recap our WagMedia creator economy. So, have creators been fine-tuning? For our Featured Report, we’ll be covering the standouts for June. If you're up for it, you can consider participating in July and potentially make it in time to be included in the next report.
As a reminder of our recent News Finder Program announcement, we're looking to entice more folks to contribute to the weekly newsletter through the roundup and by featuring creator pieces, including those from top yappers. Get involved by posting news.

Top Story of the Week - Prepare 2 Party
Written by yay.oi
What’s vibin’, interns? This week, Crypto Twitter has been gripped by a full-on Pudgy PFP takeover. And yes, even Polkadot got the nod, receiving a personal invitation to join the huddle.
These spontaneous waves of virality don’t happen every day, but they do show how connecting with the right crowds can unlock serious mindshare without burning a hole in the treasury. Polkadot’s Pengu connection, via Mythical, landed it right in the middle of the action, with Pudgy Party now open for pre-registrations ahead of its imminent release.
As that hype builds, the FIFA Rivals CWC season wrapped up this week, but there was also plenty of action on the real pitch. Though Inter Miami exited the tournament a bit earlier than hoped, redemption was found after proper preparation in their Polkadot practice kit.
The hometown heroes clinched a 2-1 victory against Nashville. After the match, Sir David Beckham popped over to the Polkadot pit to check up on the progress of the Polkadot-powered fan-engagement platform, now open for voting.
All of that shaping and planning has certainly paid off for Hydration, this week exceeding the monumental milestone of $300M TVL with no end in sight. Tweaks and fixes continued, as moves were made to improve wstETH price-tracking for GETH by finding a better-performing solution to the recently integrated DIA oracles.
Meanwhile, at the Polkadot protocol level, the party planning committee is just getting started. Last month, Tommi Enenkel pitched a global, decentralized launch party tocelebrate Polkadot 2.0. Running for over a month, it would energize the ecosystem, and invite the world to see why Polkadot is the best place to build Web3.………..

Featured Report - Fine-June Content
Written by Dodow
It appears that with early summer breaks, lucrative yapping, and the release of FIFA Rivals, the WagMedia creator economy somewhat slowed down. June saw 48 content submissions and 12 non-Anglo entries. From those, only 43 received rewards, which resulted in just 271 DOT distributed and nine creators earning a double-digit payout for each piece.
Fair to say, based on feedback for creators to share their experiences as highlighted in April’s WAG and May’s content reports, there was a possible focus on fine-tuning. Aside from using our ecosystem’s products, it might also be worth studying the approach of others. Many thanks and 25 DOT goes to CMOSH for his support with Wag’s stablecoin data reporting.
With Polkadot pushing adoption on various narratives, including DePIN and Gaming, they have become popular topics for creators to explore. Although Celestialbeing, was a bit quiet in June, he did get commended on his opening hook in his piece on Silencio, a rapidly growing DePIN on Peaq that focuses on noise.
DrCAO also provided DePIN coverage with the first DEX on Peaq. His Chinese-language video also covered more adoption with Frequency’s Bluesky collaboration, updates on Mythical’s Pudgy Party, FIFA Rivals gameplay, and more.
Also, reviewing FIFA Rivals is Jesse. After getting constructive feedback for some earlier hot takes, Jesse appeared to give the game another chance. There’s now an appreciation for the smoothness and how rewarding it is, which likely comes down to studying and winning some games.
Front-running the super mayhem, Favour finally makes it into our report as well as DOT Gaming Listings with a wonderful piece on NFL Rivals. It goes to show that sharing personal experiences and takes can capture our attention.………
