It appears that with early summer breaks, lucrative yapping, and the release of FIFA Rivals, the WagMedia creator economy somewhat slowed down. June saw 48 content submissions and 12 non-Anglo entries. From those, only 43 received rewards, which resulted in just 271 DOT distributed and nine creators earning a double-digit payout for each piece.
Fair to say, based on feedback for creators to share their experiences as highlighted in April’s WAG and May’s content reports, there was a possible focus on fine-tuning. Aside from using our ecosystem’s products, it might also be worth studying the approach of others. Many thanks and 25 DOT goes to CMOSH for his support with Wag’s stablecoin data reporting.
With Polkadot pushing adoption on various narratives, including DePIN and Gaming, they have become popular topics for creators to explore. Although Celestialbeing, was a bit quiet in June, he did get commended on his opening hook in his piece on Silencio, a rapidly growing DePIN on Peaq that focuses on noise.
DrCAO also provided DePIN coverage with the first DEX on Peaq. His Chinese-language video also covered more adoption with Frequency’s Bluesky collaboration, updates on Mythical’s Pudgy Party, FIFA Rivals gameplay, and more.
Also, reviewing FIFA Rivals is Jesse. After getting constructive feedback for some earlier hot takes, Jesse appeared to give the game another chance. There’s now an appreciation for the smoothness and how rewarding it is, which likely comes down to studying and winning some games.
Front-running the super mayhem, Favour finally makes it into our report as well as DOT Gaming Listings with a wonderful piece on NFL Rivals. It goes to show that sharing personal experiences and takes can capture our attention.
In fact, Coco and César also managed to gain our attention and make it to our report for the first time. We got guidance in Spanish on how to navigate DeFi on Hydration, before Giga Summer. Then there was creating an NFT using Polkadotmemo. On the topic of forming NFT collections, check out Mikewill’s experience on Koda for a Polkadot Africa event.
From reliving your experiences to providing recaps and timely updates, these are all things appreciated by the community. Just like bullish lists of what’s on the horizon, which Mikewill went through. For Chinese audiences, DrCAO has been rounding up some key news. Meanwhile, Ravi continues recapping monthly insights as the Polkadot ecosystem evolves.
When it comes to insights, the recent Mr Shift interview with Gav also provides some hot truths, which made Jesse’s recap take on an edgy tone. Speaking of such approaches, Gbaci takes us back to an earlier time where developing on DOT was a nightmare for some.
Time’s up on what’s fine in June. If you haven’t made it into this report, there’s still plenty of time to try for July!
